How to achieve a Nature- and People-Positive energy transition?

GINGR to be represented at the IUCN Leaders Forum next week

The UNFCCC COP28 concluded with an agreement that signals the “beginning of the end” of the fossil fuel era, setting the stage for a rapid and just transition. Join IUCN and eminent leaders to explore the implications of a just energy transition across sectors, urgent-needed actions, emerging technologies, lessons learnt, challenges and opportunities in the transition.

Next week, during the IUCN Leaders Forum in Geneva, GINGR will be represented by Antonella Battaglini and Rachel Asante-Owusu. During the session “What does a just energy transition look like?” (see the detailed programme here), both will emphasise the importance of a timely energy transition using renewable energy sources and electricity grids, while taking into account Nature- and People-Positive objectives.

The IUCN Leaders Forum is a unique gathering where environmental science and conservation experts meet directly with business leaders to formulate actions to achieve global sustainability and a liveable planet for people and nature.

The third edition of the IUCN Leaders Forum will take place in Geneva, Switzerland October 8-10, 2024.
