Technical Working Group

Offshore

The Offshore TWG, led by Ocean Conservancy, aimed to identify and promote key enabling factors for the rapid and sustainable deployment of offshore wind energy. Focusing on biodiversity, supply chains, permitting procedures, and decommissioning, the group has successfully completed its mandate, delivering its main outputs, including the Integrating Nature into Offshore Wind Development: Stocktake and Recommendations report.

Integrating Nature into Offshore Wind Development

The report was launched at COP30, where it was recognised as a key contribution to advancing Nature-Positive offshore wind development and informing global policy discussions.

Building on this momentum, GINGR is now taking this work forward through its broader framework development, with a particular focus on metrics, monitoring, and reporting to support implementation at scale.
