Dr. Warren Evans

Dr. Warren Evans has 45 years of sustainable development and climate change experience from multilateral development banks, private organizations, and other international organizations. His most recent position was Climate Envoy in the Office of the President at the Asian Development Bank (ADB)based in Manila, Philippines. Prior to that he was ADB’s Special Project Facilitator for independent dispute resolution under the Accountability Mechanism.

From 2003 to 2013, he worked at the World Bank, based in Washington D.C, as Environment Director and Senior Advisor for Sustainable Development. During this period, he led the establishment of the Climate Investment Funds and supported the Senior Management on a range of issues such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, and institutional operations.

From 1988 to 2003, Warren undertook progressing roles from Environmental Specialist to Director of the Environmental and Social Safeguards Division at ADB.

Dr. Evans returned to the Washington DC area in October 2017 where he is currently providing advisory assistance to international organizations on climate, nature and accountability.
