GINGR is a joint effort by RGI and IUCN.
The GINGR Secretariat is located at the RGI offices in Berlin.
The Renewables Grid Initiative (RGI) is a unique collaboration of NGOs and transmission system operators (TSOs) from across Europe engaging in an ‘energy transition ecosystem-of-actors’. We promote fair, transparent, sustainable grid development to enable the growth of renewables to achieve full decarbonisation in line with the Paris Agreement.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), provides organisations with knowledge and resources needed to address environmental challenges and achieve sustainable development.

International Advisory Board
The GINGR International Advisory Board (IAB) provides strategic direction and leadership to help ensure that the key objectives of GINGR are met. It offers relevant perspectives in response to the challenges and barriers to achieving the climate, energy, and biodiversity targets in a harmonious and timely manner.
The IAB covers all areas of expertise relevant to the work of GINGR and represents the perspectives of the different stakeholder groups. It is diverse and geographically balanced to ensure a broad range of stakeholders is reflected in the work of the IAB. Members of the IAB bring significant expertise, expansive networks, and effective practical and thought leadership driven by the highest standards of integrity and commitment to people and the planet.
