Lori Anna Conzo

Lori Anna Conzo is an independent advisor on biodiversity-related topics, a policy-writer and a negotiator.  For over 20 years, most of that time as Global Biodiversity Lead in the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), she has worked on the development of mitigation and management strategies to address biodiversity-related risks and impacts on private sector developments in emerging market countries globally.  She is the lead author of IFC’s Performance Standard 6, Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Management of Living Natural Resources (2012) and developed and managed IFC’s team of biodiversity specialists during her tenure at IFC.  She is also the co-originator of IFC’s Scaling Wind Program and served as the Lead Environmental Specialist of the World Bank Group’s Offshore Wind Development Program.   Lori also serves as Vice Chair of the Convention on Migratory Species’ Energy Task Force, a multi-stakeholder platform that focuses on renewable energy developments and the conservation of migratory species, and held leadership positions on the Board of Directors of IUCN-US for six years.
